For the third time, we were able to visit the FIFA Museum with 50 KMSK family members on this cool adventure day. The exhibition at the FIFA Museum is dedicated to the game that unites and inspires the world. The interactive museum run was a lot of fun. Afterwards, we were treated to a delicious brunch at beautifully laid tables. Many thanks to the FIFA team, who worked tirelessly and wholeheartedly!

Last Saturday, thanks to our sponsor Eberhart Bau AG Kloten, we were able to spend an eventful day at the EBIANUM with 50 KMSK family members. We climbed on historic construction machinery and vehicles from over 100 years of construction history. Young and old alike dug and excavated in the large sandpits. We had a wonderful time together over delicious pasta, sponsored by Cha Gourmet Bachs. At the end, each child received a surprise gift from EBIANUM as a souvenir. Thanks to the families for the good mood they were able to bring with them despite the difficult times!

The Romantik Seehotel Sonne in Küsnacht was transformed into a magical setting for the annual KMSK Christmas event. We welcomed over 90 young and old guests from all over Switzerland to the decorated veranda. The festive atmosphere and the ice skating with a view of Lake Zurich made our guests' faces light up. The magician and fakir Salem captivated the children and young people with his fire show and magic tricks. After dinner in the 200-year-old ballroom, Santa Claus handed out Christmas presents to the children, which were immediately unwrapped and marveled at. A wonderful end to the year for the team of the Association for the Support of Children with Rare Diseases, the affected families and the patrons present. With its donation of Christmas presents, eevolve AG not only made the children's eyes light up, but also brought moments of happiness and gratitude to the affected parents. We were also able to count on the support of the Romantik Hotel Sonne and Urimat Schweiz AG.

Our families were able to marvel at a journey filled with endless fantasy and unique performances by artists from all over the world. The 21st SALTO program once again surprised with acrobatic feats, daring stunts and spectacular scenery. Circus Salto gave us tickets for 4 dates to immerse ourselves in the world of Neverland, filled with pirates, fairies and hidden treasures. We love it!

"Mir sind Züri" The ZSC Lions' home game against HC Ambri Piotta will be a spectacular and lively experience. Flags and banners will be waving, loud cheers and joyful jubilation will fill the Swiss Life Arena in Zurich Altstetten. Join us and be part of this special event for the whole family!

Winter magic and action in "Uster on Ice": Together with the whole family, you can experience adventurous activities in the winter wonderland and enjoy a delicious spaghetti lunch. Young and old can explore the winding ice paths in the ice world, hurtle down the 20-metre-long ice slide, romp around on the ice bikes or try out the field hockey shooting range. Parents have time to chat and socialize over a punch or mulled wine. The ice rink will be in a separate area.

On board the Stedi ship erMarina in Ermatingen (TG), our families were invited to a fondue party on 19.11.2023. After a cozy aperitif in front of the snowy backdrop of Untersee, the children gave free rein to their creativity, painting and crafting extensively. This was followed by a fondue party, accompanied by stimulating conversations between the families. A wonderful start to the Christmas season!

They smell of fresh popcorn and the look in their big eyes makes everyone want to cuddle them! On 14.10.2023, 15 children with rare diseases and their families experienced an unforgettable walk with alpacas to the magical forest clearing and enjoyed the picturesque mountain panorama. After a tasty snack, the children were treated to a little surprise! Many thanks to Andi and his team from Alpakahof in Bern!

We fortified ourselves with croissants and orange juice for a voyage of discovery through the zoo. Then we went to the exclusive giraffe feeding. It was exciting and even the children in wheelchairs were able to enjoy the fun to the full. It was an unforgettably funny moment when the rough tongue licked the food off your hand. Petting and feeding the cute dwarf goats was more relaxing for some. With one Kiwanis helper per family, we then continued our leisurely tour of the zoo. After a delicious lunch in the Himapan Restaurant, the bravest families ventured out to ride the elephants. Many thanks to the Kiwanis Club Rapperswil-Jona for this magical day, which was fully booked in no time at all! We love animal events!

Thanks to our long-standing sponsor, autobau erlebniswelt, we were able to start the day with a delicious brunch and a cozy get-together. Afterwards, the families were guided through the car museum in groups. We experienced the fascinating world of phenomenal classics, exotic super sports cars and real racing cars up close! After a short break, the families were allowed to drive the numerous different vehicles from new to classic cars on the museum's own circuit. The children and parents were amazed and jumped from one car to the next. Another big hug from Fredi and the day was drawing to a close. After so much action, some of them fell asleep on the drive home and were able to continue marveling at their dream car in their dreams...

Together with the Zurich Hotel Management School, we were able to experience a culinary evening with 40 KMSK fathers. Together with specialists, they learned how to mix delicious drinks. During the meal that followed, our fathers were able to switch off from their everyday lives and chat with others. The evening ended with a cigar or two. Thank you and see you next time!

At the Helptour 2023, organized by the three Rotary Clubs Schaffhausen, Schaffhausen-Munot and Zürcher Weinland, numerous families came together and experienced wonderful rides in classic cars. New friendships were made under two KMSK tents, so even a little rain was no reason to have fun.

Let's embark on a journey through time together and experience magical moments on the historic steam train. Finally we can forget everyday life for a few hours. An unforgettable experience for young and old is guaranteed! Culinary indulgence is also provided. During a cozy penne chat in the Hotel Meiringen we have time for a reinforcement and a chat. We can hardly wait to see you again.

We spent a wonderful summer's day with our families and the Helfende Hände association at Bangshof, Ruggell. We were able to fortify ourselves with fresh delicacies from the farm. Under the shade of the many trees, we did handicrafts with children's book author Melanie Spescha and then it was off... with the exciting tractor race! Between wheelchairs, tractors and bobby cars, there was hearty laughter and action for everyone. The parents also came to support their children. Thanks to the young people from Helping Hands, the event was a real experience. Everyone was able to take home a prize and, of course, the memory of a wonderful day. We are looking forward to the next event. Thanks to all the helpers!

Our KMSK families spent a wonderful evening at the Mark Sway concert last Saturday. For some it was their first concert and a few fans were able to take photos next to Mark as a souvenir. Dreams really did come true! thanks to Bezirk Höfe and Freaky Swep, we were able to give 85 participants tickets. THANK YOU!

No one missed out on this wonderful event! Thanks to the perfect organization of HSG students Cèline, Alina, Anna and Thomas and the magical hosts from the Liechti farm, we were able to enjoy various activities and unforgettable delicacies with 50 KMSK family members. Horse riding, feeding fish and deer were just the animal encounters. Those who found planting sunflowers too strenuous could still have fun with sports. The Liechti family really pulled off the surprise of a carriage ride. We haven't laughed so much for a long time! Thank you!

Last Easter Monday, April 10, 2023, a total of 80 KMSK family members were able to watch the YB Bern vs GC Zurich football match live at the Wankdorf stadium in Bern. Last Saturday, 4.3.2023, a total of 20 KMSK family members were able to watch the SC Bern vs ZSC Lions ice hockey match live at the PostFinance Arena in Bern. "A huge thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the tickets to yesterday's match. We had a lot of fun and it was really exciting!" one mother told us. We would like to thank CSL Behring AG and SC Bern from the bottom of our hearts for giving our families this spectacular and lively experience.

"Put on your aprons and get to the stove!" was the motto last Monday, January 16, 2023, for 25 affected fathers at David Geisser's cooking studio in Uster. The affected fathers got to know each other over a delicious champagne aperitif. This was followed by a kitchen battle - stirring, sizzling and frying together definitely created a good atmosphere. The prepared delicacies were then enjoyed in a convivial atmosphere. And of course the teams were also judged. Congratulations to the "Fish" team for their well-deserved victory. Last Sunday, December 11, 2022, 100 KMSK family members were able to enjoy the Salto X-MAS UTOPIA circus performance in Kloten. Many of the children had never been to the circus before and so this was a very special occasion that everyone enjoyed immensely. We would like to thank the Salto team and Gregory Knie for this fantastic experience! What could be better than putting a happy smile on the faces of children and parents! You have achieved this with your performance, a thousand thanks!

Christmas trees and festive decorations created a festive atmosphere and allowed 100 guests (affected children, their siblings and parents) to immerse themselves in Knie's Christmas world. This year's show was just as colorful as the decorations. The comedians Ursus & Nadeschkin, the skid-board artists from Spain and the noble horses amazed young and old alike. We would like to thank our patron Knie for allowing us to invite our KMSK families for the second time!

The 3rd KMSK Christmas Dinner at the Romantik Seehotel Sonne in Küsnacht delighted 80 guests of all ages! We enjoyed an aperitif directly on Lake Zurich on the festively decorated veranda. This was followed by an exclusive Christmas dinner in the historic banquet hall. A culinary delight in a class of its own! Art of Fredinko, whose 4x2m picture was painted, was also present as a guest! Modern art in a 300-year-old room. The talented pianists from Katarina Giger's music school "Piano Lessons" demonstrated their skills at the 4th KMSK Advent concert and enchanted the audience with their musical sounds. Last Saturday, 3.9.2022, the KMSK family event took place for the fourth time at the autobau erlebniswelt in Romanshorn. 100 family members were able to admire the world-famous sports cars, professional racing cars, iconic classics and high-tech supercars up close. They were also treated to a unique ride in the spectacular classic cars or the sleek sports car on the in-house race track! We would like to thank autobau erlebniswelt for this fantastic event!

We were delighted to enjoy a cool steamboat trip on the "Greif" on the idyllic Greifensee with some children with rare diseases and their families. This was followed by dinner together at Seebadi Uster. The children were able to swim or let off steam to their heart's content in the playground. We would like to thank the Kiwanis Club Uster from the bottom of our hearts for this unique experience.

The 2nd KMSK Family Brunch at the Landgasthof Leuen Uitikon was a successful outing for our KMSK family members. The brunch covered all the guests' wishes and afterwards the artist Salem played with the children and showed his fire skills! We would like to thank the Leuen Uitikon team for their hospitality and our long-time friend Remo Schällibaum for this wonderful Saturday event.

The hosts Judith, Harald, Paul, Jannik and Christoph were delighted to welcome our KMSK families. The children were then allowed to leave their fingerprints on the two-year-old Icelandic horse. Afterwards, we drove together to the fencing hall in Biel, where the children learned how to fence. We would like to thank the Pfeifer family for inviting us to this unforgettable Sunday!

"Fischers Fritz fishes fresh fish". At the idyllic Kundelfingerhof in Schlatt/TG, one of the oldest fish farms in Switzerland, fishing dreams came true: our little guests were allowed to catch their own fish under the guidance of a fishing supervisor! All the senses were stimulated while making a spice mixture and the children were able to let off steam to their heart's content in the playground. There was time for parents to chat over lunch together.

Whether artistic highlights, noble horses or breathtaking action - a colorful show of thrills and poetry made for an unforgettable evening. For the third time, we were able to invite our KMSK families to the Maestrani Chocolarium in Flawil. On the adventure tour, they experienced how chocolate is made and, above all, how it tastes and smells! Decorating their own chocolate delighted the children's hearts. The event ended with a delicious snack and a lively discussion among the guests.

The 1st KMSK family event at the Ebianum Erlebniswelt in Fisibach was simply fantastic. Fifty young and old guests discovered the exciting world of the excavator museum. The parents had a lively chat over lunch. Our heartfelt thanks to the Ebianum Excavator Museum team!

For the fourth time, we were able to invite our KMSK families to an unforgettable adventure day at Engi Stables. Bright-eyed children jumped up to the horses and ponies to stroke them. After getting to know the animals and saddling them up, they went for a short ride accompanied by the Stall Engi team. Over lunch, the group barbecued, talked, laughed and played. The surprise of the carriage ride was a complete success!

Children with rare diseases and their families were able to discover everything from Formula 1 racing cars to sleek vintage cars. A unique experience was the ride in a legendary classic car on the in-house circuit. A delicious brunch buffet awaited the families and there was plenty of time for informal discussions. We are delighted that we were able to invite our KMSK family members to this exclusive event free of charge.

The 1st DPD Children's Malfestival "A Heart for Children" for the benefit of the association for children with rare diseases was a complete success! On 15.8.2021, Bürkliplatz Zurich was all about children and young people with a rare disease. The artist "Fredinko", music greats such as Nubya, G-Sax, Liz Schneider (white cello), Tante Carmen and DJ Enrico Lenardis rocked the painting festival together with more than 300 visitors and affected families. With the proceeds from the festival and the still active KMSK crowdfunding of the Förderverein für Kinder mit seltenen Krankheiten, we want to provide Leonie, 7 years old, rare disease, with a handicapped accessible bus. This is still to be financed with the current crowdfunding.link

Sugar alarm! At Alpakahof Bern, cute alpacas awaited the visit of our KMSK family members: together with the alpacas, we walked to an idyllic forest clearing with a view of the city of Bern and the beautiful mountain panorama. Over a delicious snack outside in the countryside, there was plenty of time to make new contacts with the families concerned over coffee and cake. We were delighted to be able to invite our KMSK family members to this exclusive event free of charge.

Dual skiing enables children with a rare disease to experience skiing. Half a day of skiing fun awaits you in the beautiful Elm ski area with a professional dual ski guide. On the slopes, you can enjoy the beautiful mountain panorama and soak up the sun.

Katarina Giger 's students performed for the sixth time this year in aid of a KMSK family. We would like to thank the young artists who delighted us with their piano playing in the atmospheric rooms of the *ALTEFABRIK on 1 Advent 2020. Of course, the red grand piano from Piano Sigrist was not to be missed. The donations of 1'900.- were given to Lilly, 1.5 years (rare disease) and her parents.

Snacking was allowed here! An exciting tour of the chocolate factory awaited our KMSK family members, where they learned how the sweet temptations are made from chocolate. All participants were allowed to decorate their own freshly poured chocolate and there was plenty of time to cultivate friendships and make new contacts at the large aperitif in the chocolate café.

A beautiful quote says: "The true reason for the joy that comes from being with horses is that they bring us closer to grace, beauty, spirit and fire." That's why we invited children with rare diseases and their families to a nature-loving adventure day at Engi Stables for the third time in a row. The children could look forward to riding sweet horses and ponies, a skills course as well as arts and crafts and painting in the cozy stables. We were delighted to be able to invite our KMSK family members to this exclusive event free of charge.

From Formula 1 racing cars to sleek vintage cars, countless cars were waiting to be discovered by children with rare diseases and their families. The children sped around the racetrack in remote-controlled mini cars and were allowed to really step on the gas in the racing simulator! A unique experience was also the ride in legendary vintage cars and sports cars on the in-house circuit. A large brunch buffet provided a cozy exchange of ideas. We were delighted to be able to invite our KMSK family members to this exclusive event free of charge.

In September, the best sailors in the world will compete on Lake Constance and deliver spectacular competitions on the water. As a charity partner, we will be inviting affected families as VIP guests to the Match Race Germany 2020 sailing regatta for the third time in a row. As a special highlight, we will take all families on a trip on the historic sailing ship TIOGA. Look forward to some time out on and around the water and time to chat.

For once, the healthy siblings of children suffering from a rare disease were in the spotlight. Together with the team from Flyingdance - School of Circus Arts, 16 kids aged between 6 and 16 rehearsed various circus performances in the morning. From acrobatics on the trapeze at dizzying heights and tricks on the taut steel cable to juggling and clowning, the children learned with enthusiasm and vigor. After a delicious lunch, their families came to cheer on the new circus stars in the ring at 3.00 pm in the afternoon. 70 spectators marveled at what the kids had learned in such a short time and skillfully performed in the circus ring.

The diagnosis of a rare disease turns family life upside down. While the medical aspects are usually sufficiently covered, families are faced with a variety of psychological and socio-legal challenges. How do you deal with the diagnosis? How to deal with the grieving process? What legal hurdles need to be overcome? In this year's panel, experts and affected parents will discuss which strategies help in everyday life and what help is available. And the children can also look forward to an exciting program with chocolate figurines, the creation of a special work of art and, of course, exploring the paths of knowledge. We look forward to seeing you!

This year, Disney on Ice presented the new show "The Frozen", telling the story of the two royal sisters Anna and Elsa in a live show on ice. We are delighted that we were able to invite over 180 people (affected families) to this ice spectacle free of charge.

In addition to the popular characters Elsa, Kristoff, reindeer Sven and of course the clumsy snowman Olaf, Mickey and Minnie Mouse also accompanied the audience on their adventurous journey. An unforgettable experience for the whole family! The show was performed in the St. Jakobshalle in Basel.

"Clear the ring!" - Once again this year, Salto Natale whisked young and old away to the magical world of the circus. The new show "Fantasia" offered top-class acrobatics on stage and high up under the circus dome, hearty comedy, a modern light show and live music. We are delighted that we were able to invite 230 guests (affected children, their siblings and parents) to Salto Natale in Kloten for the second time.

In December, the kinder.musical.theater Storchen in the heart of St. Gallen is transformed into a Christmas wonderland. This year, we were once again able to welcome children with rare diseases and their families to a special musical experience, accompanied by Christmas treats such as cinnamon stars, Grittibänz and Christmas stollen. Music, dance, drama and conviviality awaited the participants. And as befits Christmas, the children were given a small gift to say goodbye.

Winter magic and twinkling lights on Lake Zurich: the children were able to skate on the romantic ice rink at the Romantik Seehotel Sonne and enjoy a Christmas aperitif on the veranda together with their parents in a wonderful atmosphere. As a special surprise, Santa Claus also paid a visit to our guests and dared to skate on the ice rink. Great fun for young and old alike. This was followed by a delicious fondue chinoise for the grown-ups and a hamburger party for the little ones.

The Christmas season begins in Zurich when Circus Conelli's red tent is once again erected on the Bauschänzli. On behalf of the Kiwanis Club Kilchberg-Rüschlikon, we are delighted to be able to invite affected children, their siblings and parents to a special evening with first-class artistry, live music, dancers and the funny clowns Gaston and Roli for the third time.

For once, the healthy siblings of children suffering from a rare disease were in the spotlight. Together with the team from Flyingdance - School of Circus Arts and the Swiss Dream Circus, the kids aged 6 to 16 rehearsed various circus performances in the morning. From acrobatics on the trapeze at dizzying heights and tricks on the taut silver wire to juggling and clowning, the children learned with enthusiasm and vigor. After a delicious lunch, their families and friends came in the afternoon to cheer on the new circus stars in the ring. Many a visitor was amazed at what the kids were able to rehearse in such a short time and perform under the nostalgic dome of Switzerland's oldest circus tent.
The circus performance ended with much applause and great joy and a varied day full of happy moments came to an end.

We are delighted to have enjoyed a delicious brunch with almost 200 guests (affected children and their families) at the Bangshof in Ruggell (FL) on September 2, 2018. Friendships were cultivated and new contacts made in a relaxed atmosphere. The Sun Singers provided the musical entertainment. The Rheintal choir is made up of music-loving children and adults with disabilities who are supported by family members and friends. All the visitors were infected by the joie de vivre of the young and old singers in their sunny yellow T-shirts and they danced, sang and celebrated together!

This event was made possible thanks to the support of a foundation.

14 runners took part in the Sola-Stafette in Zurich with a very special goal: to run for the benefit of children with rare diseases! Because every step also meant a financial contribution to the Förderverein für Kinder mit seltenen Krankheiten (KMSK).

In sun, rain, hail and gusts of wind, 114 km and many meters of altitude were covered. There was no giving up for the motivated runners, because although they were pushed to their limits, they all wanted to give their all for children with rare diseases. Together with friends and acquaintances, the runners raised more than CHF 12,000 in donations for the charity for children with rare diseases.

We congratulate the runners on their outstanding performance and say thank you from the bottom of our hearts, also to our photographer Martina Rommer and to the Sola-Stafette organization team.

It was a wonderful team event and after 12 hours everyone went home with a super good feeling and a lot of joy in their hearts. The uniform tenor of the wonderful team, which had never met before: "Next year we will run again at the Sola-Stafette for children with rare diseases."

Total distance of 114.18 km and an altitude difference of 2655 m in the greater Zurich area. The 14 sections are between 3.71 - 14.09 km long!
