Help and give Alessia a better quality of life

Whether Alessia would be born alive was uncertain until she was born. The little girl Girl had a brain haemorrhage in the womb and her prognosis was poor. "Even alessia showed us back then that she was a fighter and that she wanted to live," says her mother Linda. For the single mother of three daughters Alessia is a small miracle and a great stroke of luck. Even if she is almost constantly busy caring for her daughter: Alessia has epileptic seizures every day, alessia has epileptic seizures every day, there are always problems with her oxygen supply, she is fed via a tube and cannot move independently. As Linda looks after Alessia alessia on her own, her two other daughters are repeatedly neglected neglected. "Our wish would therefore be to have a cargo bike so that we can finally Be able to experience adventures together."

Cargo bike for Alessia

"Due to Alessia's lack of body tension and her increasing size, it is becoming more and more difficult for me to difficult to take her with me in everyday life, to appointments or in my free time with my other With my other daughters," emphasizes Linda. 5-year-old Alessia is dependent on 24-hour care and a specially adapted on a specially adapted, very heavy wheelchair. As the single mother has no car, her freedom of movement is severely restricted restricted. "A cargo bike would make so many things easier for us. Alessia could be taken anywhere quickly and easily. Likewise i could finally go on outings with her older sisters," says Linda.

The young mother was allowed to test a cargo bike on which Alessia and her wheelchair Wheelchair can be secured quickly and easily. Immediately after the first Meters, Linda felt a huge sense of joy in her daughter. For Linda, a such a bike would make a huge contribution to making her everyday life easier and at the same time make valuable family time with Alessia's sisters possible.

Unfortunately linda does not have the financial means to make this major purchase; the IV does not cover the costs. "We would be delighted if it works out and it works out and we collect enough donations. A big thank you already Thank you to all the donors."

Support association for children with rare diseases
Around 350,000 children and young people in Switzerland are affected by a rare disease.

Everyday life for these families is characterized by uncertainty, especially when there is no diagnosis yet. The Support Association for Children with Rare Diseases has been committed to helping affected children and their families since 2014. We provide direct financial support, create free family events (more than 2,200 family members were able to take part in 2019) to connect affected families and raise awareness of rare diseases among the general public. We rely on donations, legacies and patronage contributions to make this possible in the future.
